Empower needy families.
Many of the women who come here are widows, single parents or married with absentee husbands. The centre caters to them in different ways. Since they are mostly from the same poor community, we provide them with:
- Business funding for their small businesses (from bread selling, food business, fruit business etc.);
- We set up a cooperative where they are committed to contributing among themselves. It has been a huge success among the women;
- Mentoring (women to women talks, health talks on family planning, personal hygiene, depression, managing the home etc.);
- Skill acquisition and training.
